Was there an ambush? More than a controversial goal worsened the position of Hamburger
An extremely controversial goal was enough for Werder (Bremen) to win a 1-0 win in the regional clash against Hamburger Schweiz in a 24th round of the Bundesliga. In the 86th minute Aaron Johansson shot to the door, the ball went to the guardian`s body, Christian Mattenia, and slowly headed for the net. In the struggle for the ball were the attackers of the host Ishak Belfodil and Rick van Droungel from the other team, the defenders last ball game, but failed to kill her and she passed the goal.At Johansson`s initial jump, however, his teammate Belfodil was ambushed. That`s exactly what Hamburg Hamburg was arguing about. According to them, although Belfodil did not touch the ball, his body and his actions prevented Dan Droungel from clearing him - hence influenced the game from bestsocceradvice and passive in active ambush.
The situation was reviewed by VAR, but not by the Chief Referee Felix Cwyer, who trusted colleagues in the control room, ultimately deciding it was naked. The defeat can be fatal for Sporten-Ferein because the team is already 7 points from a possible barrage for salvation and 8 from the first line up the line. So far, Werder has been the 16th place to play against a rival from the Second Bundesliga, but this success comes at the right moment.
The meeting was not beautiful to watch, the situations were rare, and once the arbiter threatened to stop it after the fans used a large amount of pyrotechnics.
However, Werder was the more forceful team to show the percentage of the ball - 65:35. Hamburger has no win in 11 consecutive rounds, and by the end he will have to play with teams such as Bayern Munich, Schalke 04, Eintracht (Frankfurt), Hertha (Berlin), Hoffenheim, Borussia (Monchengladbach) and others.
