Soccer predictions Ralf Schumacher: Audi still has a lot to do. Next year will be tough for Hulkenberg and his team-mate

Ralf Schumacher assessed Audi`s prospects.


The former Formula 1 driver believes that the German team is developing in the right direction, preparing for a full debut in factory status in 2026.


At the same time, Schumacher admitted that the 2025 season, when the team will still compete under the Sauber brand, will not be easy for it, given the transition period.


I will say this - they still have a lot to do, but at the same time many new people will come to Audi, there are many things and events ahead.


And all this will take another year. And this year [next season] will be difficult for Nico Hulkenberg and the driver who will become his teammate. The preferred option for Audi, as you know, is Carlos Sainz.


And it seems to me that Sainz doesn`t have many alternative options. Unless Max Verstappen decides to leave, it seems to me that Red Bull is unlikely to be interested in Sainz`s candidacy. So the option with Audi is very, very interesting for him, " said Schumacher.
