Cornerback Chris Harris has announced his retirement from his 12-year professional NFL career.


I waited a year, maintained my physical shape, but realized that everyone was simply relying on youth. "I decided it was time to call it a day, " Harris, 33, said.


Harris signed with the Denver Broncos in 2011 after going undrafted.


Along with Aqib Talib, TJ Ward and Darien Stewart, Harris formed a group of defenders that was nicknamed the No-Fly Zone. In the first half of the tenth, the Broncos defense was the best in passing yards allowed per game.


In the 2015 season, Harris became a Super Bowl champion with the Broncos. Also during his career, he was included in the All-Star Game 4 times and once in the first symbolic team (2016).


In 2020, Harris moved to the Los Angeles Chargers, where he spent two years, and his last team was the New Orleans Saints.
