Soccer prediction Ferrari Schumacher sold for a record $14. 8 million

Sotheby`s sold the Ferrari F2003-GA car, in which Michael Schumacher won the sixth championship title in Formula 1.


The sale amount is a record for such cars - 14. 6 million Swiss francs or 14. 8 million dollars.





In 2003, Schumacher won the league predicted by soccer livescores title after a tough fight with Kimi Raikkonen from McLaren and Juan Pablo Montoya from Williams: the German won six victories in the season and earned two points more than the main rival.


The chassis put up for auction was used in races 9 times, including in the decisive Japanese Grand Prix, as a result of which Michael won the title and surpassed Juan Manuel Fangio`s record for the number of championship titles won.


The F2003-GA was supposed to sell for $9. 3 million, but the amount increased markedly after a 40-minute bid for the lot.


The previous record for the sale of an F-1 car was set 5 years ago, when a Ferrari F2001 lot went for $7. 5 million at Sotheby`s.


The most expensive car in the world remains the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe, built in just two copies - in May of this year it was sold for $ 142 million.
