Pilot McLaren Lando Norris was pleased with the performance in the sprint before the Grand Prix of Sao Paulo. Norris started fourth but fell back to seventh at the finish line.


The sprint was tough. However, our main task was to overtake Magnussen - which we did, so I`m happy.


We didn`t have a real chance to fight top 3 teams, so I didn`t expect us to be able to get higher than seventh place. But it was hard. I did not feel very well, it was hot, and the track is very difficult - but we had a good sprint.


We are in a good position, and if both cars can get into the points zone in the race, it will be great, " said Norris.
