Alex Song:I was forced to live at Rubin`s club base
Former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alex Song revealed unpleasant details of his 2-year stay in Rubin. When he came to Kazan, he was promised a house, but after six months at a hotel he was forced to live in the clubhouse. When I signed up, they told me they would give me a house, but then the months passed, and I did not have one. Eventually they took me out of the hotel and had to live at the club base. The club kept telling me they were waiting to finish the house. One day I talked to one of the officers about it, and he told me that no one was burdened with such a task. I spent my time sitting in my room and never lighting the lamp. I was always on my computer without television because I did not understand Russian. My whole life was based on one computer and one phone, and this is not healthy. To be honest, I do not know why I did not use the lights, Song told the English Telegraph.
Eliminated by the lineup for four months, he reflects on the reasons for this. I think they wanted the expensive players to leave and so they stopped paying us. The club told me the money would be on my account, but that never happened. I had mortgages and other costs that I had to continue paying. I had a mortgage in London and the bank was asking for my money. That was the worst part. Kazan is a nice place. There are good restaurants and people are nice, but I never went out because I did not have friends. I only fed at the club analyzed by soccer articles base and always been alone. I was crazy. I did not cry, but I was very stressed. I lost one year of my career in Russia. Now I`m playing again and I`m happy. Everything is alright here. My family is with me, added the current player of Swiss Zion.
